People Exercise

Who are the people that we can connect with that will benefit from the work we are meant to do? Rather than thinking first about how people can help us, think about the people we can help in some way by doing the work we are meant to do. If this work is truly meaningful to us, then we will also benefit by helping them.

Make a list of family, friends, colleagues, alumni etc. that can benefit from what you do best. However, the list doesn't stop there. These people also know other people (and so on . . .) that might be great to connect with. The more clear we are about who we are and how we can help, the more we will attract and connect with the right people.

When we take steps in the direction of the work we are meant to do, all kinds of good things start happening -- many of which we could not predict in advance. Please make a list of the people you want to connect with as part of your plan. You can also revisit this exercise anytime.
